September 25th - Y-CAP BOOM
On Friday, September 25, 2015, Mercedes-Benz of Nashville hosted the 4th annual Mercedes-Benz of Nashville Tennis Classic Team Pairing and Pre-party event which included a silent auction benefiting The YMCA of Middle Tennessee and Williamson County Youth Community Action Project (Y-CAP).
On Saturday September 26, 2015, the Mercedes-Benz of Nashville Tennis Classic was held at the Maryland Farms YMCA in Brentwood. At the tournament, participants got to hear from Ivy, one of Y-CAP's recent participants and about her experience in the program. For 2015, the tournament and silent auction raised $30,569 an increase of $4,342 over 2014! This event makes a huge impact on the youth in our community and this was clearly evident in Ivy's testimony about the difference YCAP has made in her life. We, at Mercedes-Benz of Nashville, feel privileged to be able to partner with Y-CAP in this important work.
Y-CAP is an outreach program serving teens ages 12-18 of Williamson County by offering dynamic opportunities to grow in spirit, mind and body. We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Our mission is to offer new opportunities for teens through volunteerism, team-building, goal setting, relationship building, artistic exploration and life skills development.
Y-Cap is both a prevention and early intervention based program that centers its curriculum around the concept of the "40 Developmental Assets for Adolescents", a study conducted by the Search Institute identifying a set of skills, experiences and behaviors that enable young people to develop in to successful adults who are prepared to make a positive contribution to society.

Make-A-Wish - Come True
We met Josh through Make-A-Wish in February 2015. On May 14th, we went to Dwight's farm then on May 15th, we went to the Franklin rodeo so Josh could get ready for his trip. Â On May 25-30th, Josh and his parents visited the Burnt Well Guest Ranch in New Mexico where he rode horses, roped, enjoyed starlit campfire evenings, and went to a rodeo - giving him the chance to live like a real rodeo cowboy! We are so glad we were able to be a part of Josh's wish and we're happy to have him and his family as part of our Mercedes-Benz of Nashville family.

Our friends we met through Make-A-Wish who we now consider family - Sydney, Lily and their mother Lori, and also Caroline and her family, Logan, Andrea, and Chester were there.

The entry fee was a 100% donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The event raised $15,575 to help fulfill the dreams of children with life-threatening medical conditions through wish-granting work. It means so much to us to be able to make these children's dreams come true.

In December 2013, Mercedes-Benz of Nashville wanted to grant the wish of a local child through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle TN. Just before Christmas, Make-A-Wish told us about Caroline and her family and allowed us to grant her wish. We asked Caroline, her parents, and her brother, Logan, to visit us at Christmas so we could meet them. When they visited the dealership in December, the associates gathered in the showroom while General Manager, Harold Hamilton, gave Caroline and her family the great news ...in 2014, she and her family will go to Hawaii to swim with the dolphins and also visit Pearl Harbor! There were also presents for Caroline and Logan under the tree from all of us at Mercedes-Benz of Nashville. We look forward to having them back soon so they can share stories from their trip to Hawaii. Â

He, along with help from his mom and dad and a few dealership associates, searched high and low and found lots of keys and even two toy cars wrapped up with his name on them under the tree. Everyone from the dealership signed a giant card wishing Connor a Very Merry Christmas from everyone at Mercedes-Benz of Nashville.

These funds support many worthwhile charitable organizations, many located within the host dealers' community.

On May 14, 2012, Mercedes-Benz of Nashville hosted the 2012 Mercedes-Benz Dealer Championship Golf Tournament at The Governors Club in Brentwood, TN. Donations from the sixty-eight players who participated along with donations from others who were unable to attend, totaled over $8300 for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee. These donations will help fulfill the dreams of children with life-threatening medical conditions through wish-granting work. This year's tournament raised enough money to grant the wish of at least one local child.
