Refinement and stellar performance are yours to enjoy in the latest Mercedes-Benz SUVs, including the improved GLE and GLS models. While both are engineered to provide a luxurious ride going down the road, they also have remarkable capabilities for more rugged driving situations. With updates to both models and numerous differences, a thorough review with our team's support at Mercedes-Benz of Nashville is the next natural step.

Performance

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE is marvelously engineered with several available powertrains. The first of these options is a four-cylinder turbo, 255-horsepower system, which links to front-wheel or optional 4MATIC® all-wheel drive and an automatic nine-speed transmission. A 362-horsepower V6 engine is also available. These two systems feature mild-hybrid engineering. A turbo four-cylinder, plug-in hybrid engine is the top system available, generating 381 total horsepower. In comparison, the GLS is available with two hybrid engine systems. These are a turbo 3.0-liter, V6, 375-horsepower unit and a twin-turbo 4.0-liter, V8, 510-horsepower option. These units come with e-Active Body Control and an air suspension system.

Appearance

The GLE expresses its confidence and elegance throughout its premium exterior. While the sides are subtly contoured, the long hood has crisp definition lines. At the front, the nose is tall, and it features a stardust mesh pattern on the grille and large, angled air vents with horizontal accents. The premium headlights boast an upper LED bar with upper and lower LED dashes. The GLS, on the other hand, stands taller and is styled with more rigorous side accents and a muscular hood. The grille and air vents show off horizontal bars, and a black element outlines the air vents. The headlights feature vertical LED bars and a larger, encompassing LED ribbon on the top.
