Serving Franklin, TN

With their solid performance capabilities, modern style, and impressive list of available features, deciding between the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the E-Class is a challenge. The compact C-Class sedan debuted its fifth generation last year, and the midsize E-Class brings its latest generation online this year. With extensive recent updates introduced to these models, a thorough comparison of the options is in order.

Performance

The C-Class's base engine is a 2.0-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid engineering and delivers 255 horsepower. A high-performance, AMG®-tuned version of this model is available, giving you 402 horsepower. This high-performance engine is also offered in a plug-in hybrid system and provides 671 horsepower. For the E-Class, the same 255-horsepower engine is available. The E-Class also offers a 375-horsepower, turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. In addition to the E-Class sedan, a wagon version is available. It adds an air suspension, an off-road driving mode, and upgraded adaptive suspension dampers.

Appearance

The C-Class shows off both sporty and regal styling. The profile shows off a tall roof with dramatic angles over the hood and rear. An arching definition line accompanies the smooth door panels. The wide, A-frame grille is styled with chrome accent bars. Below the grille, the thin fascia flares out into large air inlets on the sides. The eye-catching headlights are styled with pointed tips and an upper LED accent. The redesigned E-Class has a faded yet crisp definition line above contoured sides. The dramatically angled hood is also brilliantly defined. The grille stands out with its stardust grille. The headlights angle upward from the grille and feature curved and linear LED accents.

Features

Many of the impressive features in the C-Class are also in the E-Class. Some of these are a four-zone auto climate control system, a dashcam, leather upholstery, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, USB ports, a premium sound system, a 360-degree camera, an automated parking system, a navigation system with an augmented reality overlay, a head-up display, enhanced cabin lighting, a drowsy driver monitor, a safe exit system, wireless smartphone connections, a hands-free power trunk lid, a wireless device charging pad, a wireless hotspot and others. The E-Class also offers a digital key, a voice assistant, 3D graphics on the digital instrument cluster, soft-close doors, and a few additional features.
