Serving Franklin, TN
For elite performance and refined luxuries on the road, the Mercedes-Benz lineup holds several premium sedans to consider for your upcoming purchase. The compact C-Class and the slightly larger E-Class are frequently compared to each other as they are close siblings in the 2023 lineup. A deep look at these popular sedans reveals their similarities and brilliant differences.
Performance
Two powertrains are available for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The 255-horsepower, four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine is available with your choice of rear-wheel or 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. The high-performance engine is new for the 2023 C-Class. This is a mild-hybrid, turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 402 horsepower. 4MATIC® all-wheel drive is standard for this option.
In comparison, the 2023 E-Class has three powertrains, including the same 255-horsepower engine available with the C-Class. The E-Class also has a turbo V6, 362-horsepower system, and a high-performance V6, 429-horsepower unit. The drivetrain varies based on the trim level and body type.
Appearance
Visually, there are beautiful similarities between the C-Class and E-Class. Both have a downturned, wide grille with vertical accents. They also have a barbell-style lower fascia and LED-topped headlights. On the C-Class, the lower fascia is accessorized with vertical bars, and the headlights trend into a point as they reach the grille. The C-Class also has a more tapered profile. The E-Class has larger headlights that are mounted at a dramatic angle. The lower fascia features horizontal accent bars, and the rear haunches are slightly defined.
Features
These Mercedes-Benz sedans are remarkably appointed across their trims and are available with many of the same technologies and features. These include a dashcam, a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, evasive steering assist, blind-spot intervention, adaptive cruise control, a navigation system with augmented reality, a head-up display, automated parking, a Burmester® sound system, wireless device charging and other. If you opt for the E-Class, your sedan may also have massaging front seats, surround sound with the Burmester® audio system, soft-close doors, and a few additional features.
