The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 is the base trim level. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter, I-4 turbo engine and nine-speed auto transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard at this trim level—the output registers at 255 horsepower. In comparison, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 has a 2.0-liter V6 turbo engine that puts out 329 horsepower. It also has rear-wheel drive and an automatic transmission.
