2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB vs 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC
Serving Franklin, TN
The 2020 GLB is an exciting new addition to the Mercedes-Benz SUV line. This luxury subcompact crossover SUV brings a fresh look to the table, and it blends its appealing style with exceptional capabilities and top features. It is placed directly below the GLC in the Mercedes-Benz line, so many of our customers at Mercedes-Benz of Nashville are curious about their similarities and differences. The GLC is a luxury compact crossover SUV, so it is slightly larger and roomier. While the GLB is an all-new model, the GLC is fresh off of a major facelift and has modern, appealing styling throughout. The Mercedes-Benz of Nashville team is excited to show off their unique qualities during your upcoming test drive visit.
Performance
You will undoubtedly be impressed by the behind-the-wheel experience that both of these crossover SUVs deliver. If you take home the GLB for 2020, your vehicle will be powered by a twin-scroll turbo 2.0-liter, an inline-4 engine that gives off 221 horsepower. It is combined with dual-clutch 8-speed auto transmission, paddle shifters, multiple driving modes, and DYNAMIC SELECT. The GLC, on the other hand, has a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine featuring direct fuel injection and multi-spark ignition. This powertrain also is combined with a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, and it generates 255 horsepower. The GLC is offered with a plug-in hybrid engine that gives you 315 total horsepower.
Appearance
The smaller Mercedes-Benz GLB blends a functional, capable quality with luxurious touches. Its prominent roof line edges into a sharp drop down the liftgate to create a boxy, rugged look. This is combined with straight body molding and raised roof rails. At the front, rectangular headlights have a smooth shift and LED ribbons to highlight this angle. The grille has a dual-bar design. When you compare the GLB to the GLC, you will notice that the GLC has an aerodynamic profile with a sloping roof and more angling down the liftgate. The GLC also has integrated roof rails, a sloping hood, and a single-bar design throughout the grille. The headlights have a comparable shape, but the LED ribbon has a standout design.
Features
The differences between the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB and the GLC continue inside the cabin. The most notable difference at the front of the cabin is in the touch display screen layout. The GLB has connected screens that carry the customized and digital driver’s gauges into the center stack’s display screen. In the GLC, these screens are separated. Both of these vehicles have a multi-zone automatic temperature control system, MMI touch, voice recognition, a standard or upgraded sound system, a rear backup camera with assistive guidelines, a power-adjusting sunroof, several dozen color options for the ambient lighting system, heated leather seats with memory functions, circular air vents, smart device app integration, remote entry, and other preferred items.
