 What's New for the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE?
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE is included in the model's second generation, which debuted in 2020. While it is a mid-generation vehicle, it introduces extensive updates to its tech, powertrain, interior, and exterior. The new GLE 450e has a plug-in hybrid powertrain system, offering 381 combined horsepower. In addition, the engine in the AMG® GLE 53 has been fine-tuned to provide more torque, and it continues to deliver 429 horsepower. The AMG® GLE 63's V8 engine produces 603 horsepower. The other powertrains remain unchanged. These include a 255-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine and a 375-horsepower, V6 engine. Another option is the 510-horsepower, V8 engine.
You can also appreciate brilliant style updates across the GLE's exterior. It displays a regal, confident look with a tall profile and intentional, sculpted contouring over the door panels and fenders. The nose has a fresh design with premium headlights featuring a solid LED bar and a grid of four smaller, segmented LED bars. The grille has a new design with updated, starburst-style mesh and a linked bar running through the center. The 2024 GLE's rear has been restyled with diamond-shaped taillights, a rear skid plate, a dual exhaust, and deep air intakes.
The cabin is refined and pampering, with massaging and heated front seats, sublime upholstery options, and customizable ambient lighting. Other cabin features available are an optional third row, a premium audio system, integrated sensors on the heated steering wheel, dual 12.3-inch display screens, an MBUX infotainment system, a surround-view system, wireless integration for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, voice assistance and more. The extensive selection of advanced safety technologies available in 2023 continue to be available in 2024. These are adaptive cruise control, speed limit assistance, evasive steering assistance, lane keeping, and other technologies.
