Mercedes-Benz introduced the GLB to its stellar line of crossover SUVs in 2020, taking its place between the GLA and GLC. This small crossover immediately caught drivers' eye in the Nashville area with its confident, sophisticated façade and premium features. While the Mercedes-Benz GLB has received several exciting updates since its launch, no updates have been made between the 2022 and 2023 versions.
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLB is defined by a tall, somewhat boxy shape with elegant curvature over the hood. This rectangular theme extends across the LED-outlined headlights and the molded wheel wells. The attention-grabbing front end is also styled with a wide grille displaying vertical bars and angled, accented air vents encased in molding. Regardless of your selection of the 2023 GLB 250, GLB 250 4MATIC®, or AMG® GLB 35, your crossover will come with 18 or 19-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, aluminum roof rails, a power liftgate and rain-sensing wipers. A panoramic sunroof is offered as an upgrade.
Because of the tall façade, the GLB provides exceptional space across both rows. The upscale cabin design is defined by metallic trim across the dashboard and steering wheel, aeronautic-style air vents, and a cohesive glass housing for the infotainment system and driver's digital gauges. Features include a push-button ignition, a two-zone climate control system, memory settings for both front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, natural voice recognition, four USB-C ports, forward collision mitigation, a touch control pad, a blind-spot warning, customizable ambient lighting, a household power outlet, paddle shifters with a sport steering wheel, augmented video with the navigation system, speed limit assistance and more.
The base engine for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLB is a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine that generates 221 horsepower. It pairs with an automatic eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission and features either 4MATIC® all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. The AMG® GLB 35 trim has a high-performance variant of this engine that generates 302 horsepower. It has the same transmission, 4MATIC® all-wheel drive, upgraded brakes, adaptive suspension, and a sports exhaust.
